Just wanted to see if anyone from Polycount is going to be making this years Quakecon, and if we should set up a get together? I was mainly thinking of catching a dinner at Bonedaddy's ( a local fun place ) to chat and drink some beers after the show. Just curious.

Cool, Friday is the only good day for me to get together for this, so hopefully some of you guys can make it. I was thinking Friday night at Bonedaddy's off of 75, and Springcreek, which is near 635 for those that haven't been there. Just head north from 635 on 75 and it will be on your left. I will make a reservation for around 8 and just chime in on the number for me to make if anyone can make it.

i'll be there, i think saturday is the best time for a get together, thats when all the cool stuff is going to happen. I'll be around, we might all just head down to the bar at the hotel and have some beers, anyone's welcome to join in.

Yeah, would love to do a saturday thing..just unable to make it at the moment. Hell maybe we do this friday thing, and then a saturday one as well ( if I can break away ) If anything it just gives us a chance to have more beer:)

according to the schedule friday is Carmack's keynote, which is usually surprizingly cool even to a layman, then saturday at 330 is the idtech5 presentation thingy, which i recommend everyone who's coming should really check out

I'm flyin' out to Siggraph friday so I'm gonna miss the whole thing... somebody shoot some shaky cam for me... both the idtech5 demo and the bar scene...;)

i'll be @ siggraph as well, so will poop.. damn, i really wanted to go this year too.

polycounters going to siggraph should do an alternate meetup, we can even hijack this thread to talk about it!!
just kidding, i think there is already a siggraph thread around here someplace.

there's parking at the hotel i think its like $15 which is kind of a ripoff, but i don't know of any other place u can park around there.

Ok, made the reservation for 8-10 for Bonedaddy's tonight at 8 pm. It is reserved under the name Polycount, so I hope to see some of you there, if not then I will be a lonely camper:(

Sorry I missed it guys. I really didn't make the choice until sat morning. I just wasn't feeling up for extended output of energy these things take. I just wanted to stay home, water the grass and be fairly mellow, which is what I ended up doing. I felt appropriately guilty about it for a while tho. sorry, again.

oh... speaking of potential get togethers... the next tradeshow up that i'm aware of is the austin GDC. My work has already paid my way and as its here in town, I think it's safe to say that I won't be missing it... whether i want to or not.

so... we can get together if anyone is coming around for that. This is the MMO-centric GDC so I don't know how many of you would even be slightly into it, but I'll be there with bells on.
