I have recently been working on the highpoly counterpart for my low poly charcter based on this design:
As you can see there are few differences based on "on the fly changes" I've made during the development of the character, certain things I noticed didn't translate too well in the 3d version. Additionally I wanted a sense of continuity apparent in the design as a whole!
And this is the base body upon which I built the clothing:

Otherwise not bad at all, but the character and the presentation of it really is a gaming cliche come alive

As for improvements, I think your model could do with a bit of high frequency loving. The skin on his face and arms looks extremely smooth. The armor, while I love all the shapes and grooves in it, needs some surface details. Whether you're going to model that, or add it through texturing is up to you. Either way, I like it and it will be a solid portfolio piece, good job
