When I saw the trailer I was like....So Sam Jackson has Christina Ricci in chains in her underwear...what the hell is this movie about? However my fiancee and I rented it the other day and yeah I'll have to agree, it turned out to be a much better movie than I was expecting. Sam Jackson plays a damn cool blues guitarist/signer. I especially liked the actual black snake moan song....bad ass. Plus Christina Ricci in her underwear for like 90% of the movie...can't go wrong there.

I actually passed on this one based on the dvd cover when we rented last... then they showed a preview of it on one of the rentals we went with instead. I'll definitely be picking it up, as it looks better than I expected.

i watched it last night, thought it was great. Sam Jackson and Ricci were awesome. The only part that went a little too far was when she was grabbing on his leg while he was playing. It was just kinda......stage show...

the music was the best part, I really have to get the soundtrack.
