I'm working on a project in which I am creating skinned characters in 3d max for XNA. As I understand it, I export an FBX file (which has the mesh and bone data) and a .X file (which has all the skinning and animation data) using Killowatt, which is the only .x exporter I could find.
My programming partners can't figure out how to get it to load (like me, they're students). Has anyone exported for XNA yet? Any tips or tutorials on how to export skinned meshes for XNA? Any very basic hints for bones set-up and exprting?
Whatever will be helpful.
