#35. - Skate To Live! - MadMenno

Some time ago i thought about making a skatepark but the thought faded away after a while. Should be lots of fun so i'm in and i hope i can finish as i have a realy realy realy bussy month.

But i'm not happy on the texture size. It's enough to make a rather clean skatepark but a skate park (atleast the ones in europe) are all over with gravity. And thats gonna tile/pixelate badly. I'm just hoping this changes and if not i'll add another map for myself after the comp laugh.gif.

Good luck everyone!

Are you serious dude? The texture size is plenty (considering the low poly count)! The game we are just finishing up on use 64x64 textures for the environments and we generally have a max of 20-25 textures per level. But if you split up the 1024x1024 map into 64x64 maps, you get 256 individual maps. That's more than what I got to use for the entire game spanned over 8 levels, oh and each map was crunched to 4bit laugh.gif
Sorry for the rant, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

also if you try and keep your model's quite modular you'l be able to cover much more world space than if you were to create one unique texture, which i think is kind of what casey was saying.
