OMG, I can't tell you how much I would like to work there. That environment is sweeeet. I love the desks... and having a fully stocked BAR! Damn. It sort of reminds me of an elaborate toy store. I'm surprised anything gets done though
That project must have been the designer's wet dream.
I totally want one of those desks. But damn expensive setup, those office chairs alone are around 2 grand a piece and thats the only stock thing i can see in the whole place.
Yeah, looks alright. Not my cup of tea to be honest, but definitely a break from your typical office cubicle setup.
I'm more impressed with their chairs and hardware than I am with the office.
the actual execution is a lot less impressive than the idea. a lot of the steam punk looks like thin cut out pieces of plywood or plastic. when i saw the topic i was thinking of when i interviewd at iron lore which was set in a HUGE old abandoned mill. there was steam pipes ans machinery everywhere, the halls were these long narrow red brick halls with ceilings covered with pipes. and in the conference room was some big machine. it was a really cool looking office. more.. steam industrial than steam punk.
Haha, I was just going to post this. Seems we're making news with the space. it's a work in progress. A lot of the stuff in this space is the designer's first whack at this sort of thing. It's definitely getting better though. I really love our tentacle couches. Great for playing games on and such.

If I can find some pics, I'll post my desk. Each artist was able to draw out the plans for their own desk. They came out really nice. Mine is a giant Omega Fish and diver. So awesome.
The whole space has made for some fantastic parties.
Edit: Oh, and yes, Ian works here too. We share a corner with a like minded effort to avoid sunlight. *Hissss!*
Hah damn, thats fucking awesome Nick. Damn I envy you working downtown too. My 25 mile bumper to bumper commute sucks balls lately and seems to be worsening. Why the fuck does everyone want to live here? Bring on the next big quake I say...

Our polycounting buddy Nitzmoff works there.
They are the guys that did Puzzle Pirates. Good game. =] Ian (I think...) from MacHall is/was working there as well.

They have a fucking bar in their studio, bastards.

I want.
i'd prefer the one from Redbull, just for the slide instead of stairs

Honestly something comfy and simple is what I'd like in a workspace for digital work...although a bar is certainly a plus.
Iron Lore's gots pipes!
