Mudbox destroying my UV's

Well I've been trying to put UV's on this highpoly model in mudbox for about 5 hours now, having to solve problem after problem. Finally Im up to one I may not be able to resolve.

I basically I made a Lowpoly version with UV's, imported the Highpoly to recreate sub-d history and its working. Now if I want UV's on the higher levels I must select 'recreate uv levels', but it turns my uvs to shit on higher levels...

I checked out mudbox forums with no success, I know this is the workflow everbody says to use but I dont know how many people have actually tried it. It doesnt have overlapping areas or anything, Im using modo by the way. I want UV's on every level but it doesnt look good, Can anyone help?

    try loading up the .obj you exported to put into mubox, that might be your problem there. often times if you're working with the .lxo format in modo, and doing cerain operations your uvs will get FUCKED saved as obj. so try check that. if thats the case you're pretty much fucked and will need to start over if you need uvs on your highres.

    No the mesh was fine, I found out the problem was with mudbox. If anyone has this problem make sure you have the latest version on Mudbox which wont do this. I couldnt find any solution to this anywhere until I stumbled apon someone who figured it out on the TWEAK modelling forum.
