Vert skater's dream!
Street skater's nightmare!
Where be the rails at? Funboxes? Kickers?
I know its 'super early wip' so I'm assuming you'll get to them eventually. But great stuff so far dude.
A few suggestions though:
This is just the main bowl areas. There's certainly going to be rails, a halfpipe, etc etc. Our skate park in Reno is very basic, much in the same layout. There will be much more added to this.
I like this one the best so far. It has the most logical layout other then a few things that would be easy to fix.
The coping shouldn't pop out of the deck like you have it. Roll ins would be a bitch.
The smaller set of ramps is setup so anyone trying to hit those would come off with speed and have no where to go. I think it would work better if it was either sunken with a channel or a pocket close so you could do transfers in or another option would be to make it lower and smaller like a funbox with some quarter pipes or flat banks on the opposing corners so someone could get speed for it. Lowering along with adding some rails would make it come together. Putting a funbox on top would just be wrong btw.
Somethings to spice up the main area.
add some tombstones. Small sections that jut out usually vertical.
Vary the height of the walls. Maybe add an oververt section.
for style this would look sweet with some pool coping.
you have this basicly split into 2 sections. I am saying take the smaller section and lower it and put some ramps on the opposing corners something like this.
Try adding some height variation mb.
cant do a paintover right now. Decent layout so far though bro. Better then some parks i've skated and still had a blast at them.
Oh awesome guys, thanks.
I've certainly seen these before, and was going to be adding them. The terminology just wasn't there for me
Thanks for the feedback. I'll have more changes ready tonight.
Lookin good man. IronHawk is right, yours definitely makes the most logical sense. And I can completely visualize yours as being a real-world skate park.
On my end of this challenge I didn't want to do something resembling a typical skate park but more so something you'd see in Tony Hawk World.
Things have been slow going, but I've made a small update. Still a ways to go, with just about 2000tris left for details and tweaks. Still not sure I'll get it textured in time.

Obviously still tons of detail missing right now (ramps, rails, et cetera).

umm.. Wheres the vert? =p
- Which smaller set of ramps?
- Sunken channel or pocket?
- Funbox?
I was already planning adding other elements, such as the "tombstones", quarter/half pipes and rails.

I'm redoing the top section right now. I still haven't added in rails and such, but those will come later, when the main body is done.
I'm officially tossing in the towel. I'll post pics of the finished mesh when it's complete.
