need to bake some vert lighting into a model, but its coming out way darker in vert colours than it appears in the viewport. my experience with max vert baking is that the vert colours should bake pretty much how you see it in the viewport, but these are coming out much darker than the 'use all lights' preview is showing (I'm changing it to use no lights to view the vert colours).
when I turn off the textures, I see that the vert colours have been affected by the materials- a red carpet has baked red vert colours, but I don't want that as its multiplying and creating a very dark red. I just want the lighting info not affected by materials
that make sense?
