This is something on the TV here sometimes in the UK. It's made by Aardman (makers of Wallace and Gromit) and is a pretty basic idea. They have a subject (eg. what is better, cats or dogs?) and they go out asking random people of the public and record their answers. Then they recreate the answers in Stop Frame with the people as animals. It may not sound that interesting, but it can be damn funny.

they are also coming out with a US version of creature comforts.... but yeah its good stuff. i'm actually workin on a CG Aardman cartoon right now here in canada.

A friend of mine was at Manchester's film school about the time that Nick Park was there, late eighties. I remember being shown 'A Grand Day Out' as a demo reel. We felt back then that it would be massive.

Shame about the split with Dreamworks, but I think it's for the best. Aardman is very British.
