Working on my normal mapping skills. Based on
this concept from the PSX game Xenogears.
Count is currently at 4374. Looking to stay under 4500.
And a quick render of the hi poly. Flesh and clothes sculpted in Mudbox.
Looking for some C&C before moving on to uvs.

If you want a 2nd design to model I wouldn't mind seeing a gear with him, I prefered the red/black uncontrolable gear think it was version 3 (not sure).:)

ppenguin: I didnt make his muscles bigger, but I tried to define them more. Think I should go ahead and make em bigger?
animatr: Ill see about changing his face (actually im thinking about redoing his entire head).
$!nz: Don't think I ever saw the 3rd gear. I know recently I tried to play from my last save, got killed almost instantly, and remembered why I never completed the game:(
Normal map. I need to rerender some areas that have bad seems (didnt know I could bake without using a cage:@ )
Playing around with toon shading him. I like the results but damn the outlines are gonna blow the count close to 9000.
It looks great, but something about the forehead just bothers me.
