Any polycounters on facebook? I thought it was going to be crap but I have connected with so many people I thought I'd never hear from again. The site is so addictive.
Ive only just got into the Myspace,im so behind the times .
Anyway I havent bothered to look at facebook but from what ive heard it slightly concerns me. People can see who you have been talking to and when you have been talking to them or soemthing, doesn't seem very private. But thats just from genral pub banter and I havent checked it out myself.
I'm on there. Similar to Malcolm, I thought it was goign to be lame, but ended up reviving a lot of connections, and met some people. Its also a fast and clean design which its the complete opposite of MySpace.
Damnit I was just going to start a thread about LinkedIn, the PROFESSIONAL social net tool :P I am on fb though.
So, anyone use LinkedIn? My brother just introduced me to it and it looks promising. But if no other game artists are on it, not much point in joining...
Thanks Adam, I'll go ahead and give it a shot then. I'd like to link up with people from all over the world, because you never know where opportunity may strike.
I'm on both. I was really surprised when I made a LinkedIn account. It was a few weeks ago, and I'd never even heard of it at the time, and it turned out everyone I knew was already on it.
im on facebook... i think the constant "you've been added as a friend on facebook" emails drove me to madness.... now that i've joined, i've realized some things:
1) It's actually kinda fun
2) those goddamned e-mails just Multiplied!!!!

The worst thing about facebook is the fact that people join temporary groups and then leave a few weeks later. and you're told about it (unless you specify not of course).
there is a kinda pokemon aspect to facebook to, I end up looking for people I don't really like who I've met once just to "collect 'em all"
