Just a couple of quickie models I've finished during the evenings of the last week or so.
They are rendered in xNormal (xnormal.net if you haven't discovered this nice 3d viewer/normal map generator yet).
Used maya for modeling, mudbox for sculpting and zbrush for parts of the texturing. xNormal did much of the baking.
First up,
Marv
Secondly,
Fallout-style Hunter
Hope you like them, I don't have polycounts or wires here at work but Ill up them if there is interest.
Cheers!

Marv reminds me Patrick Swayze a bit.
Nice work, especially the mudbox sculpt. I think Marv needs more specular variation. the level of shinyness looks very uniform right now. almost like it was sculpted out of rock and painted over. if you're using gloss i would also tighten up the highlights on the skin a bit. right now the skin just doesn't read as skin. I like the hunter, but yeah i would tone down the scratches on the goggles. Gorgous work overall
Nice sculpting on Marv, but I think the texture could use some more work. More variations in the skin and also the jacket looks a bit noisy.
Only crit on the hunter that he has folds in his cloth, but the cloth pattern stays the same as if there weren't folds.
Anyhow, thanks for all the great crits so far!
I didnt realize XNormal supported realtime shadow casting though...thats awesome looking.

And also, as promised, here are the wires for the hunter-dude.
Stay true mannnnnn
I definitely see what you mean with the beard and all, I guess I got a bit blind doing color corrections on him. I'll fix that up and then I think I'll call him done, at least for now..
Got started on this fellow today, will try to finish him up this week (here to hoping, no overtime at work):
Excuse the shitty viewport screengrab from maya.
I've been busy for a while; getting a showreel together amongst other things. Please have a look:
Here's another lowpoly (well, 1980 tris) head I've done recently, with 1024px^2 textures:
Hope you like it!
Btw, bookmark my blog if you like zbrush freebies, there are some more heading that way soon.
only crit is the both eyebrows and lips need a little *umph in the form, more meat. sorry about the crude analogy - but think of a swollen anus..
shotgun: Thanks for the praise! I agree that it's a very crude analogy, but I get your point. I will might go back and flesh it out a bit, but at the same time I rather like him having thin lips.

For some reason I cant see hunter images at all
ur kinda good. sense the sarcasm.
merecraft: I think I see your point, if I revisit this model sometime soon I see what I can do.
indian_boy: Hey, thanks
