Hey all. Little something I'm working on in an attempt to get better at texture painting. It's sort of my own version of a chaos zealot from warhammer. Going with the mmo thing, I'm trying to nail down a base ungeared character then the gear. Just a fun little project and a chance to paint from scratch. Right now I've really only concentrated on trying to nail the face and skin. The gear isn't even started but I figured I'd post it anyway just to show what it looks like on.
I'm mainly looking for critiques on the texturing. It's really not wear I want it to be. I'm having trouble getting tone and depth. Any help crits would be great. Also, any tutorials that migh help would be appreciated. I've looked at Ancient Pig's and Poop's tut's, but any others would be great.
Let me know what you think.

i'm not a big fan on the visible abs on chick models, unless the rest of their bods are buff as welli think it would be better to smooth out the tummy a bit

Google up "figure competitor". Figure Competitions are the new, hot thing for female bodybuilders. Instead of looking like huge man men, they keep their womanly attractiveness. For reference that is.
btw: reminds me Pink a bit...
critisim: texture need more contrast
Winterlord: Zealot is a class in the upcoming Warhammer Online. www.warhammeronline.com I kinda took it my own direction just to have some fun with it, but I intend to stay pretty close to the costume design.
Looking forward to seeing some more updates!!
wanna make one?
Bounchfx: I don't really do anything exciting to make my models. I just build a good model sheet either by drawing it or from a place like 3d.sk. I model the torso, arms, legs, and head seperate out of primitives shapes like boxes and cylinders. Then I sew it all together. Nothing special. Oh, and I usually try to put them in a relaxed pose that feels like there is weight to it rather then the extreme jesus pose. That's about it.
Update soon.

when I try to model characters I usually do I think 8 or 10, but I don't really have any set formula as I'm still trying to find a way that works good for me, the one thing that stood out to me about yours was the seamless edge flow your model had, and that's what I've been trying to achieve, I guess I'll obviously keep trying :P.
The stockings and shoes look great!
Nice mesh dude.

I'd call it done at this point :P
i dig it for the most part, but something about it just doesn't scream chaos =/
