I work at a movie theater and since our theater is so small we aren't showing Hot Fuzz because of its ratings. I guess the ratings were bad, but I am pissed cause I wanted to see it.
I really want to see it but I have no one here to see it with and I don't like going to the movies alone. But that will change when Spider Man 3 comes out next week.. I might just do a double feature and see both :P, that is.. if they are showing.. the theater around here shows each movie only like 3-4 times a day.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when Danny shot in the air because he couldn't bring himself to shoot his own dad (mimicking the scene from Point Break that was referenced a couple times). It was kind of embarrassing, because it seemed I was the only one in the theater who laughed at that part. I don't know why, but I thought it was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing.
What, you were the only one to get that, after they slowly and deliberately referred to it numerous times in the movie?
I don't remember seeing Point Break and *I got that reference.
I've been following Edgar Wright/ Simon Pegg/ Nick Frost's stuff and this rates up there with Spaced and Shaun of the Dead, also there's things like danger 50,000 volts which is genius.
i went to see it on release over here (big fan of Shaun of the Dead), and i fkn loved it.
if you search youtube for Hot Fuzz, you can see a lot of the web blogs they had, and also a 30 minute video on how to survive a living dead situation called "Danger: 50,000 zombies".
Thumbs up from me. My only complaint was that the amount of coverage it's been getting on G4 a lot of the best bits I'd already seen (I still can't beleve they showed the "Cuntstable Fanny Batter" bit uncut on AOTS). I would have prefered to see it without knowing much about it.
I think I was the only person in the cinema who laughed at the scene where there's the village fete, the slutty woman and the 2 detectives. The comment she makes when looking at the boar cooking.
