hey guys, i've been working on this elf guy the last couple of days.
By the way, is it ok to use other peoples work as a reference (not publishing) becouse for the head i used reference from the swordmaster tutorial, by Seong-wha Jeong. (i did model it myself though)
here is where i'm at:
crits and comments are higly appreciated!

thanks!
ok thanks!
is this one better or worse than the previous one?
C&C most welcome
thanks!
I feel his knees could be higher, and he has a tiny butt:P
The stomach could be more defined, polys there aren't put to much use atm.
Also generally your edge loops seem very straight and linear, there's not much organic shape in your polys, they all seem very stiff and grid-like. Vary the shapes up a bit and get some more natural form into the mesh.
Good start though, keep it up, and definitely make sure to keep checking the proportions and anatomy against reference as you work.
ok thanks!
i tried to get rid of the rigid edgeflow on the chest/shoulders. It now is more anatomically correct (not entirely i think) but will it deform properly like this?
thanks again for all the crits and comments! really helpfull!
use the crit. well, because when i look at the pictures, i hardly see any improvement..
i've quickly slimmed him down a bit. Is the topology for teh back ok? I'm still not very happy whith the shoulder, could somebody please do a small paintover for the shoulders? that would be very helpfull! (or are they ok now?)
ok so here is the little update:
thanks again for your help!
I have one suggestion though, not really a big deal, but I think he would look cooler with baggier pants. Not too baggy though, but showing some weight, perhaps hanging down the front a little. It seems like its kinda stiff and with the improved upper body, I think he needs some balance at the bottom now.
