it's a sorting order problem. copy the one in front and delete the old one. that should fix it.
or if that dont work, make a copy of the back one and delete the old one. Yeah it's a ghetto solution I know.
what the hell...that is ggghhheetttttoooo. i mean...not the solution. but effin' MAX. thanks for chimin' in...it worked. i'm only wondering now what probs i'm going to get using a halfway decent amount of cards. oh well....
Also, make sure your viewport transparency mode is set to "best" - right click in the top left of the viewport and look for "transparency" in that list, it might help.
no. just a loft converted to an editble poly. that's not geo in there....i checked. all one smoothing group. doesn't show up in render...only viewport. but i need the viewport to be clean.
Welcome to the wonderful world of real-time alpha sorting. Not much you can do about this, except choose Additive instead of Lerp, and turn off sorting altogether. Better yet, turn off 2-sided, and don't model each curl with 150 triangles.
I dunno if ur using max or not, but i discovered to my delight after having some problems that max sorts polys in some wacky way, like the order in which they were created in the mesh - very odd.
also, if you have any problems with mesh sorting going strange in max, set the visibility to 0.999 which forces max to sort them properly instead of doing some half assed guesswork.
lovely max and the lovely bodging you have to do...
on the other hand, if that's not max you're using, good luck!
