I picked up a $24 antenna from Circuit City, it is awesome, I've got all the network stations in HD for free. My tv came with an internal HDTV tuner so you might have to pick an external one if your tv doesn't have it.

Just felt like posting this because I didn't even know about over the air HDTV until I got my new TV and read about it in the manual.

Interesting. Glad it worked out for you. I tried an HD antenna and it just did not work at all well for me. I returned it to the store. Its success depends an awful lot on factors external from your HDTV.

yeah, I guess it still depends on where you live and the availability, but it's nice. All the major stations in my area have HD broadcasts, unfortunately they don't all broadcast it correctly. NBC does it right, ABC transmits HD, but doesn't scale it correctly, and Fox transmits HD proportions, but my TV doesn't register it as an HD signal :/

It's cool see see the HD .2 channels though. ABC and NBC in my area use .2 as their all weather channels.
