Something's corrupted. Theres a couple of things you can try. Run "Optimise Scene" from the File. This gets rid of all the unnecessary nodes and things from your scene and will often get rid of anything nasty with it. If this doesn't solve the problem, try creating a new scene and merging the old one into it.

I get lots of fatal errors in the uv editor, make sure the fish has uv's before you do anything, throw a planar map through the whole model before you apply our texture. Also make sure the history is deleted and the usualy crap. If all else fails create a cube and select it first then select the offending mesh and hit combine. After that delete the cube and see if the problem persists.

more info about my setup what file format i saved it in,
im running AMD 64 X2 Dual on 2gigs of ram and Geforce 7600GS video card, i have 14gigs of free hard drive space,
i even tried turning off the triple buffering like most people have done,
and i have still have issues,
also i made a new scene with a cube,
i went to the uv editor, added the same texture on it,
    and still got the error,
so i added a differnt texture on it,still the same thing,
the fish texture is saved as a .TGA file,
    Thanks,Chris
