Came out wrong I guess, but now I see people everywhere getting laughed at for believing the stalkerteam could've ever stolen anything, or being called overreactive fanboys, and etc, I dunno..

From what V said, it sounds like they did steal them, but ID isn't too tore up about it. Or is that what you meant? I still didn't really understand, haha!
Yeah, I'm not in the position to say what id should or should not do, but I was a bit pissed at something I read on kotaku on the subject if it is still theft with an apology.
"In particular, the "IMP_Light texture" file that had Doom 3 fans in such a hissy is in fact a simple old "Impact Light texture", not a randomly-generating hellspawn"
I don't blame Kotaku, they're just linking the inquirer story, which makes it all sound an awful lot like fact. I don't really understand the impact light thing, though. Just because it's named IMP for impact instead of the Doom enemy (which I'd never even considered until I saw these news stories) doesn't mean it's any less of id's texture.
Yeah, it's pretty rubbish journalism. You don't just take everything you read as fact and regurgitate it - journalists are meant to at least make some cursory examination of the background.
This all came from the Inquirer? Why the hell would you guys believe ANYTHING from that site as it is? It's like Weekly World News - entertaining jibberish!

What's next, listing The Onion as credible source?
