So I'm painting away in Photoshop CS2, just like I always do. I hold down alt to sample a color and start painting again...only to discover that my color hasn't changed. Then I realize that it did sample the color, but it sampled it to the background color slot! I can't seem to find the setting that is causing this to happen. Does anyone know why this might be and how I can fix it? Hitting X every time I sample a color is kind of a drag tongue.gif

It's up in the top right by default, in the Colour palette (usually next to one of the tabs like Styles and Swatches), you'll notice that the foreground and background colour swatches can have a little black border around them - click on the foreground one to select it.

Sweet Jeebus....thats been torturing me for a week or so. What a weird little no-name, hidden in the depths of a palette I never use setting. Anyway, Thanks MoP
