so I guess since i figured the game is out and people have been asking me to pimp the stuff i did for it here comes. This was a contract i did this past spring right around the time i left ritual, made 5 of the 10 new monsters in the game. This all had to be pretty quick work since i was supposed to have 3 months to do all of this but ended up only having 1 month, lol the joys of contract work hehe. Also i had pretty much no input on the design, i was handed a concept and had to just make that into a character. The last guy i think ended up being all crystal in the end no fleshy face. And this is also all pre mudbox too, all max and zbrush.
can you give any specs on these?
as said the color seems a bit limited (even for me! ) but even so it is very freakin sweet. the tongue creature is quite cool, well wht am i saying, they all are!

Not too fond of the last 2 idk if there statues or actual characters. Maybe it's the statue liberty green texture material going on that makes me think that.
No doubt it doesn't quite look as nice ingame but damn, freakin sweet work as usual. I'd try pick a favourite, but I couldn't.
Don't those Metallic knights have some real nice pristine metallic specular/gloss effect on them now?
Haha, I remember specifically thinking those armored dudes looked weirdly awesome for Oblivion when I saw them in a magazine screenshot. Awesome work, Rawkstar.
Hmm, I really think the last two (and the third to a lesser extent) look like they have just a slapped on procedural noise texture instead of a real texturemap.

excellent work for 1 month thats incredible, Ive got a long way to go. Its taken me about a month and a half to make 1 poseable low poly normal mapped character.
Cool Sh^#t there man, the first three are pretty bad ass and it's nice to see the fist guy with his helmet off. The last few though looked rushed and clearly not a shinning example of your skill but as you said you only had a month, pretty admirable work for such a short time frame. The thing that bugs me is the Bethesda didn't give you any solid concept to work from, WTF, this is Oblivion there bread and butter! I guess the concept guys were to busy working on Fallout, oh well.

The knight's mechanical, hard edged look clashes with the face a lot and leaves it looking somewhat unfinished. I suppose it's understandable with a deadline like that, though!
Your Hunger is instantly recognizeable, and the bloodier, fleshier tone is a big improvement on the sickly, purple tone of previous games.
Keep up the stellar work. Looking forward to seeing more.
I wasn't impressed with the mass of the character work in oblivion. A lot of that was down to the design I guess.
However they do at the very least help to illustrate how great these and the big blue demon from the original game are, fantastic art, leagues ahead of the rest Rawkstar!
hahaha, yeah i saw that character on a magazine cover in an airport and thought "hey, they finally got some good character art guys, good deal." nice going, dingbat!

Though as said I think they could use more colours (more the bottom three). Though I'm sure they all fit well with their environments.

Man 1 month for all of this, i think for me this would have turned up 4 years, great work like usual.

Im only missing color variation in the metal parts. The Knight looks very boring because of that.
