excellent work, I particularly like the texture on the creature, the weapons look pretty flat but I reckon they are pretty small and I assume they look great in the game engine anyway.
While I think the environment props look plain fking awesome, the weapon design and the that character with the mask seem uninspired and nothing special to see there.. Otherwise, the work is solid and I want to find something wrong but I can't! Keep it up
thanks guys!
ged and zephir-yeah the weapons are a bit flat looking--to be fair they were the "common" weapons, so designwise none of them were supposed to look real unique. Still, I'm happy with the advancement over titan quests original weapons.
Kick @ss stuff:) Looks amazing.
I play titan quest with my girlfriend and both of us really love the quality of it all. very beautiful game.
I love all your stuff except one thing...
one of the things are extremely disturbing...
i'm sorry...
but...
your profile picture gif is just the kind if thing that will end up in my trauma center.. :P
Except the ":(" part at the end, that's okay;).
Anyway keep up the great stuff:) Looking forward to see it in the expansion.
Fantastic job on the expansion guys. As usual, I'm thoroughly enjoying slaughtering your creatures over and over hoping for some of your cool weapons to drop
Oh and the Ironlore folks sure nailed the release, with it being the same week as 300. The day after seeing 300 I was sitting at home and had a sudden urge to play Titan Quest, which was a convienent reminder to go out and pick up the expansion.
i finally got around to pulling some images together to share with the community and contribute to this thread!
my apologies for some of the crude images. i had a number of random stuffz to B making 4 TQ. these images were collected in an assortment of ways, be it a screen shot from the editor, max's viewport, during producion, or... like a few minutes ago.
this was probably my most favorite asset to create. it's a number of pieces of the colossus of rhodes statue that scatters the dock at the start of the expansion pack.
these are monster eggs that were used to decorate underground caverns. i thought the way i constructed them was pretty cool. i was trying to fake subsurface scattering by making the inside SSS an inverted sphere. shaders can do this trick a lot better i'm sure, but we didn't have one and i was just playing around with it on my spare time. eventually we had to take it out and just make it opaque because we couldn't tag the mesh to not receive shadows but still cast them, they were fun and it made me feel clever.
charon's boat! charon is commonly known in greek mythology as the the ferryman who collects the deads' coins and takes them across the river styx. at least i'm told i spent some time to make it look good only to have it placed in a way you can hardly see the dock. oh well.
some sharp rocks and ground textures. rocks are hard.
evil monster tents that are brightly lit! hehe. see? lighting is extremely important to convey your mood.
and a cool fort bridge made of logs, two kinds of rope, and shields. i made a few different shaped pieces that snapped together and stuff.
that's all from me - thanks for check'n out our dump!

That first pic, the chicken/crocodile/siamese-twin feotus thing is my favourite by a long shot

The specular on all the weapons, is it baked into diffuse oldschool styles?

Agreed.
More weapons! I made all the unique weapons for Immortal Throne. Here's a small selection of some of them.
and I even got a critter in the game somehow. The pet for the new Dream Mastery.
