Awesome idea. Too bad the forums can automatically put people in the graveyard if they haven't updated their post after so many days. They could always be revived from the dead with an update

I'll break the ice and post mine. I only got as far as concepting the head with no luck for the rest of the body. I have a silhouette that I kinda liked but just couldn't do much with it, which in turn I ended up hating.
Ninjas did offer to knock out a concept for me which will probably bring my entry back from the dead. But with less than 2 weeks to go I don't know if he should waste his time when he could be working on his own entry.

If anyone is willing to help me bring this bad boy back to life by doing a concept or a speedpaint or even a concept tag sesssion. I'd be keen. I have a 3 day long weekend so I could use that time wisely and try get up to scratch.

I'm too far behind at this point to finish with my entry without some serious rushing, and I like the concept too much to forcefully squeeze it out. -So I'm playing dead, but will probably keep working just in case there's some kind of deadline extension.

Mines dead, after a month of down time the Dom War started. I cursed the Dom War when it was announced because in that month I could have banged out an entry. But not now... Right when it started we hit crunch. I still plan to finish it but I have to wait until I'm not work 12hr days and taking care of a 8mo pregnant wife. I made some progress last weekend but not nearly enough to finish in time.

Bad timing on many fronts...

Yeah I'm in here....had to spend the last few weeks tweaking my folio/cv..and going to interviews. Accepted a new position today so at least it paid off.

yes well I'm here too, its been a busy month for me so I haven't had time to get this done. That said i don't think there was all that much point competing due to the absolutely amazing talent on this site.

I think ill spend the next year practasing as much as possible so next year I might have a shot! Look Out!

Things should become more manageable over the next few weeks so I'll work on an entry after the deadline. Someone else will have to step in and win the big prize for Polycount.

Ok, that's it. I give up. Normally I would never say that, but our project at work is too much time consuming at the moment, so I don't find much concentration in the evening for the challenge. I got a lot of feedback for my entry from some guys at the company, so I tried to overwork the design, to make a cool creature of it. Maybe I'll finish it afterwards if I can find the time.
Next time I need a better planning.

ok yeah, I wasn't able to work on this lately (still stuck with medical problems (tinnitus), etc), so I think I (we)'m (are) fucked for this one... *gniii*. ANYWAYS, i'd like to thx all the people who supported us, it was like in a dream ! You really made my day everyday this month !!

N.B : I'll definitly finish this piece in a near future and I'm still planning to make the mother too !! (in highpoly this time, should be fun ! :])

This competition is pretty much awesome, I just lacked the time and commitment needed to do what I had intended. I am disappointed because I joined with the intention to learn normal mapping and to finish. I did not accomplish those two primary goals. Although, I was trying to juggle too many things, and it is relieving to let this go.

I'll be better prepared next year!

Also, to you guys at the finish line, you are showing some GREAT work and I am salivating all over that.
