I'm looking for a new digital camera! Hurray! I used to only need it for generic stuff, but now I need it to get new texture photos as well... so besides something like stabilization, are there any features I should look out for in a new camera?
And what are you guys using?

Optical zoom.

Sites like Steves Digicams (I think thats the name) have reviews on every camera ever made. Just check for deals in local stores or on www.dealnews.com and look up a review on it. My GF has a 7.1mp Samsung that she got at Circuit City over Blackfriday for $120 and it rocks ass.
I'd highly recommend something with at least 8 megapixels, and some manual controls. A digital SLR is probably your best bet. The Rebel XT is now a bargain, but if I had the money and didn't already have one, I'd probably go with a Nikon D70.
Good call about the megapixels, sonic. Apparently it's the size of the image sensor (1/2.5 being "meh" with 1/1.8 and up being better), among other things, that really matter.
