here's a model with some dust on it that i'd like to pimp to y'all. what i liked most about this character was how the enviroment map on the armor looked in the viewport. i'd catch myself playfully spinning the viewport around rather than working on it.. i liked the chiseled piorish anatomy too, enjoyed sculpting that.
i won't be working on him no mo', but any constructive input is welcomed, i just wanted to share him.
with love,

I can't see anything wrong with it. Great silhouette, lots of character, perfect proportions, excellent armour designs and the likes. A winner is you.
with that slick painterly normal map, you could probably play with his proportions, exaggerate them more, and still have it look great.
Great work !
Should have shown his mohawk... he's even hotter with that. Look just like me.
i do have the raw highpoly for daz:
cya guys in a week! hope to see some of you dudes on thursday.
I started something very similar about 2 years ago, now I have no excuse to finish it. It wasn't anywhere as cool as this though
whats the ball for?
yeah im annoying.
Anyway I say tweak the ankles and perfect! Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see the flats and the turn.
I hope this isn't a once of piece... want to see more.
the only crit i would have is that the lowerlegs look a bit weird, besides that it is great work

volleyball.
This is one of the most awesome pieces i've ever seen through here. I'm no expert, actually, im less than not-expert. But I have been here a while, and looked at some amazing things, but this by far is one of my favorites.
The face reminds me a lot of a character that BoBo did. I think it was for a pirate game or something. I dunno. Awesome work
Josh: I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's to better show his lighting setup?
damn nice!
It should be made illegal to normal map well like that
looks great
But what is that ball for????

I assumed it had something to do with how he was showing off his lighting/cubemap.
like this a lot!!

the white ball was just to show the lighting.. there are a bit of tweaky settings to the materials and enviroment lighting.. i was poking with settings here and there just to familiarize and introduce myself with them. for example, the lights are rather strong, and i was basically trying to communicate the differences between a regular plain white sphere and the tweaked settings as if it would some how better communicate my adjustments and that colored lights were to be taken into account. it was a compulsive afterthought to add it.
