Thanks I'm done with this for the contest but I will definately continue to work on it after the contest is done. I have no time left to work on this before the deadline anymore so without further ado, here are my final shots
and ur done! awesome work man! i really like the work u've done, and its ur first wit normals and stuff, so all the better!
hope to see u competing again next year!
I know I won't win or anything but damn, I learned so much doing this and had a ot of fun in the process. Its often been said that the best way to learn is to just do it.
Can someone give me some advice on rendering and rigging... I am still pretty green with modeling but my rigging and rendering hasn't even sprouted roots yet I've been looking for tutos on both but haven't had much luck. The max tutos are OK but the lighting part is very basic..
I think that the judges only picked their top 5 each, and the final 10 (plus each team's 3 best) were picked from those choices, so I don't think the other models were ranked (since that would mean each judge assigning points to 150 models, which seems a tad unrealistic!)... I think that means you can safely say you tied for 11th place
lol, thanks Mop. I was just curious to see where I placed out of 160+ entrys
I can see a lot more mistakes in my model now than I could when I submitted it, I think next years DomWar will Rock even harder,I'm starting to practice for it now
I just wish we could get this vibe going on the forums in general. The supportivness was awesome and the overall team play vibe really helped motivate me. I honestly think my modeling improved more in the few weeks I worked on my entry than it has in the last year since I started 3d. Utmost respect to all the other entrants and the guys that made it all possible. Awesome stuff.
