I thought it had some great momments, like the eyehand guy...yes I kept that vague for all you guys who havent seen it...and the nosesmashing *sick*! Definintly worth the watch by all means.

yeah, I wasnt expecting that level of violence, good film, not one for the kiddies though.

I think was I was missing the most was an actual less black and white portait of both the fashists and especially the rebels (which were in this movie *just* that: generic run of the mill rebels, while in reality those spanish freedom fighters have a very unique role in the history of europe).

Besides that, it really had quite a bit of 'just for show' blood and gore, which in my opinion was just unneeded.
