I think the only problem I have is the EYE-aiming tool. Those are hard to pull of and not look clunky. It's a little clunky, I think right now and maybe you haven't pushed the look on it enough. I think maybe if the tool covered more part of her head or looked more aerodynamic it'd have a more stealthy feel. I think actually, aerodynamics is what it needs - I'd make it feel softer, as if it's a membrane covering that side of her face.
Been on heavy crunch this week at work... Thanks to the extension, I think now I might be able to finish after all.. Finally done with the hi-res model.
Thanks guys. Your encouragements are helping me alot. Heres my normal mapped low poly model. It is at 5488 tris. Onto the texturing we go. Gotta get this done..
Thanks all you guys for your encouragement. Sadly, I dont think I will be able to make it in time... I got to the texturing stage, but I think I would still need a few more days to completely finish it. Its been fun and exciting. I will still finish this up for myself. Heres my wip into the texturing..
Well clee, she looks gorgeous, and with a few days she'd be in fighting shape. From what I can see, this piece is excellent, especially how crisp and clean the texture work is. Her expression is good too, and her whole face seems t come together around those tattoos. If I may make a suggestion however, her hair seems a bit wooden currently. I usually don't do hair, but if you feel you have time, perhaps you could smooth her locks a bit more, maybe increase the subdivisions. Great work man, and good luck to the future of this beauty!
AAwwwww man, it's so sad that you can't finish. I know that she can hold her own in the war. She has great potential to be up there on the score boards. I still can't wait to see the final though.
Thanks guys. I really wish I had finished.. came kinda close.. My mistake was starting this war 2 weeks late, being under heavy crunch at work, and being pretty new to doing normal map textured character.. I will finish and polish this character and keep posting my updates here. I still think we did a great job. There are some amazing stuff on our team and I hope we win once again. I will also be returning next year, and this time around I will be well prepared.
really good work!!!! congrats man, better late than having a rushed entry! now it's just a matter of getting better, i can't wait to see what you do next. I really like the armor design, but maybe a little bit of extrusions to delineate the shape of the armor on the leg could give it an extra layer of depth - especially in the calf section. The silohuette looks like a straight out naked leg - and I can see how that works to give it a slick feel, but it can get pretty flat if you don't show any of armor shapes. I would expermient with more color schemes too, now that you're done, you should just go crazy doing many different kinds of color schemes, you might end up with something that is a lot cooler!
anyway, great works!
Thanks guys. I still wish I made it in time, but yeah at least I got alot of things out of this and had alot of fun working on this. Im gonna be making weapons for her now, a gun and a knife. Ill continue to post more as I go.

katzeimsack- Yes, I will be using sub-Ds at the base of the mechanical parts.
Snowfly- Thanks, nice sketchbook btw.
maybe worth losing the cybernetic eye
Thanks Hawken. I think I will get rid of the cybernetic eye scope for now so that can also speed me up..
Good Luck to the rest of you fellow comrades!
