Dominance War II- Effect

Time for war.. starting it off with some base sketches. I The demon head on the right dude is by a friend Danny Beck and i'm really leaning towards it slightly modified for the character. a word about the dude on the right.. his armor does not match his body but it was a test to see if it'd look alright... obviously not not. I've been digging Targete lately so i may be leanign towards the stable chaos he's got going on with his armor but i want my dude to look evil yet intelligent enough to be manipulative. the gun/claw hand thing on the right is by an artist i believe named Pose.. i'm afraid to admit he's reached my inspiration folder and i can't remember his whole name anyways thanks for looking

i'm gonna work on the dude on the right and make his armor more organic instead of sci-fi techy bits and belts. thansk for the positive feedback i appreciate

Nice sketches Effect! I agree that the horned guy is very interesting and could be built upon. I couldn't help but focus on the large forearm piece that is on many of the characters. This is a nice touch and could be integrated along with the wire attachment that you've got in the 3rd silhouette on the bottom. Adds menacing to the list of adjectives this character could be.

second: damn those are nice sketches... the guy to the right-most (the demon?) caught my eye fisrt, followed by the two with the humongous shoulderpad.... real awesome work... looking forward to more!

I have some story updates and sketch updates ready to be uploaded as soon as i get back from work.

Thanks everyone fo the positive motivation it's really helping me develop my concept. I am trying to steer away from Gears of war craze lately tho i played and enjoyed the game.

Oh and thanks for the welcome to Polycount!! i've been a long time viewer and friends with most of the people here. Just.. i admit.. WoW is bad for creativity. i hope ya follow along with my progression and feel free to offer up any suggestions along the way. i'll try and stop by your threads and offer some motivation and hopefully some useful critiques

just some wip on ways i was thinking of going. the legs aren't done yet i was just working anatomy to put armor over top since i want to make some armor that is almost like toned muscle. I was playing with the idea of having his lower torso be the lower jaw of a creature adn the upper jaw was along his back. anyways let me know what ya think.

i like the first one a lot! the belly still looks a bit dull, but i think the jaw idea is a bit out of place, he seems really cool and evil and such a "funny" thing wouldn't fit. Anyways, thats just my oppinion... good job!
