I was crushed last year when I spent crazy money on tickets and it was cancelled at the very last minute. Screwed up my pattern of going every year. I'm now very curious about this year...
I've been to shows in Detroit before and can't say I like the areas most of them are in. I have nothing against black people, but when the KFC has 4 inch bullet-proof glass to protect the workers it doesn't say good things about your neighborhood. Also, a lot of fucking skinheads show up to those shows. Never been to Pine Knob, though.
Also, Chicago is closer but I hate driving to Chicago. Indy isn't that much farther and seems like it's much easier to get around in than the Detroit or Chicago areas.
Actually, Pine Knob is not really near the D. It's in Clarkston, which is about an hour north of Detroit. It's actually right near where I live. Either way, I wasn't sure how far you were from my area of the glove
The place where Ozzfest is held is about 10 min away from my house. The thing that has stopped me from going to Ozzfest these past couples years is the price. It's like 90 bucks for a GA ticket (if I can't mosh, why go?!) and I usually don't like anything except part of the second stage (Arch Enemy, All that Remains, etc). I'm not a big fan of Ozzy or anything similar. I'll probably go this year just because it's free though.

I saw this also. I'll probably go to the Indy one.

Why go to Indy when you can go to Pine Knob (DTE Now)? Then again, you may not be familar with my section of the state

we will probably be going to Columbus, Ohio unless there's one closer/better.
