I really think we should have some more 'creative' shows like the japanese, instead of more bloody Top Idol programs. They might be weird at times, but darn, they can be entertaining. Of course, it just is more funny because its japanese, having us doing it wouldn't be as fun I think.
I think its entirely consistent with the movie though - taking something that people loved and needlessly distorting it through modern tropes into something twisted and awful. I do enjoy how awkwardly it segues in and out of the Linking Park rapping bits.
That was Linkin Park? I thought maybe it was like Stan Bush's neighbors cousin or something.
I certainly get the sentiment but honestly trying to watch old episodes of Transformers these days is pretty excruciating. Especially if the Dino-bots are involved.

^LOL. Ha, that's not Linkin Park in that video though. He does have this version without the rapping. And ugh, watching Stan Bush sing in either video just makes the song much worse.

Bush also has this ridiculously cheesy and excellent song all about Transformers (that if you played Transformers War for Cybertron, it was in the credits)

I swear, I'm not a huge Stan Bush fan, just happen to know about these being a Transformers fan, lol
I admit there's a nostalgic feeling and a guilty pleasure about those old TFTM Bush songs(mainly because of Vince DiCola) but the newer ones just make me cringe in embarrassment.
[wiseass]Haha number 5 and 6, are actually 3 and 4 different words respectively, since the "'re" part is short for are and therefore is a word . It should say that they have two and three different meanings.[/wiseass]
According to a Wall Street Journal study of four recent broadcasts, and similar estimates by researchers, the average amount of time the ball is in play on the field during an NFL game is about 11 minutes.
In other words, if you tally up everything that happens between the time the ball is snapped and the play is whistled dead by the officials, there's barely enough time to prepare a hard-boiled egg. In fact, the average telecast devotes 56% more time to showing replays.
Despite the lack of quality in graphics assets I really love the setting in this clip. Somehow this seems more appealing and interesting to me than those new rocksteady games.
The time in-between is used substituting players, arranging playcalls and strategies, reviewing game footage, and lots of other very important stuff. You can't simply assume that because the ball is not in "play" that nothing is happening. There are 60 minutes of game clock each game, and how you use that limited time play-by-play and inch-by-inch is the exciting part.
I still don't understand why folks from other countries seek to demote the sport. You end up just sounding like an arrogant American claiming that his version of football is "better". See how lame that sounds?

Wait, what? I'm American... and I don't see the importance of even mentioning nationality. I don't like football. It's boring, to me. No sense in getting all butt-hurt over it.

It's like a portfolio:
Just because you have a lot of content doesn't mean your portfolio is any good. Less, great content is better than a lot of crappy content.
So, that being said;
I'd rather watch 11 minutes of action packed plays than 60 minutes of guys kicking a ball back and fourth and scoring every so often when the stars align.

When I subscribed to the old technology of television. Football and such sports were always boring compared to shooting people with rockets in Quake. I just don't get as much enjoyment from watching sports. Or watching anything really.

Lol, sorry. That looks like I directed that statement at you. I was generally speaking. That's an interesting article, though.
I posted it somewhere else and a friend put it this way:
"As popular and famous as the Beatles were, they only released 10 hours and 43 minutes of recorded music."

When I listen to music I tend to pause it over and over again. So a five minute song lasts 22 minutes on average.
