Hi! About time. First concept was a demolition dude but it turned out to be a kamikadze, a big something that breaks through enemy lines killing as much as he can on the way to finally blow himself up on some key target others can't reach. He got somekind of toxic shit canister on his back to make a big baga boom, or something.

Let me know what You think about it, I'm still concepting... allthough I'm not much of concept artist.

Though give him some armor.. no good being a kamikaze if you cant even get close.

Thanks Shady-D, I'm still thinking about main shape of the guy then I might move to some armor concepts.

Edit: Propably going to base his base shapes more on gorrila, I will post some concepts when I'm done.

I really like the concept so far, maybe you can give him short turtle-like legs?

if you don't want him to come off as having gorilla-like proportions, then just go about adjusting them... try something like giving the forward limbs an extra joint, making them longer, which would shift his pose significantly.
in your second image posted, i really like the thumbnail of the third guy on the right, the one with a more squat pose. it's beastlier, but i think it generally has more potential for interesting pose and overall strength of presentation. just keep banging away man, you'll get it

the legs from the last 4 concepts don't look like they can support the weight of the creature, I like the spikes idea though
But maybe you can add spikes to only parts of his body and not all over?

Yeah, I was thinking about spikes for lower part of limbs and black hair over rest of body (like black headcrab fur).

I would consider adding another joint to the legs. If he wants to be able to move with any kind of speed, it seems he would need more joints for dexterity. And it would look right propa'. The arms fit well if you keep going with tht stretched flesh sort of look. Since you've got spikes on the arms though, perhaps adding them elsewhere on the body would serve to bring it together.

Ok, so here it is. I would really liked some input from You guys, c&c really helps. I'm not sure if I wouldn't run into polycount budget problems with those designs.

Looking good, the top one is very nice. He looks much faster now. Perhaps longer legs are necessary, because at the moment it looks like the bomb strapped to his stomach will reduce his mobility.

Now THAT looks wicked. Definately an improvement from the four legs. I think that you could still add another joint, but its not as important with more legs. And I would also say keep the claws instead of hands. If you're a big suicide-bombing ape... thing, you don't need to worry about hands. Hands are for things like playing cards, eating with silverware, and making awesome drawings, none of which fall into this ugly's job description.

The new ones look sooo much better. Really coming into his own as a critter.

I actually really like both versions of arms... so I say give him both. Scale down the hand arms and put them between his big claws. Though just having the claws as in the top one makes a lot more sense evolutionarily, he needs something to set off the bomb with, yeah?

I think that I will hold normal human arms with few additions, I've read Sectaurs's thread and gauss's post there and decided to do a concept from front and 3/4 now, I arleady see arms issue I would've notice in later part of production (instead of fixing now).

nothing new I guess, just some proportions changes on the ortho 3/4. Anyways I need a lot of feedback because I'm stuck now.

Yeah, he will have armor but for now I want to work out the main shape (what's under the armor).
