This is my first post ever... my friend told me about this contest and it caught my eye! He believes in me, so Im going to give a try at this contest! This is my character Venator! that is Latin for Hunter. He is not all the way done, this contest came out of now where for me and I am now just getting the concepts done. He is not all the way painted as you can see. I have only done very little to him. I will later on have much closer drawings of his armor and how things work. He is all human! I hope you like it! tell me what you think. I would very much like to hear what yall have to say.

nice way to start ur life ni polycount, and i hope u enjoy taking part in the contest. good luck to ya!

now... as Gauss isn't here, i'll try to imitate what he would say (im not that good at this):
a) don't marry ur first girlfriend, as he puts it. That's advice for life to i guess, but in case of the analogy, it means that don't just go for ur first idea. it is generally the worst (not saying that ur idea is bad... but u should try to make more).
b) take some time (like 15 minutes) to do thumbnail silhouettes. They can help u get ideas of lots of different forms onto paper. and thne u can pick the ones u like best, and go with them...
c) don't say: "this guy's a sniper" or "this guy's an infiltrator." basically, the reason for this is that if u do say stuff like that, you'll start making ur character very boring and cliche-ed. ie. sniper with a typical sniper rifle and nightvision goggles, etc. etc. Or a Sam Fisher infiltrator...

umm... i think that's all i remember for now...
