Dominance War II - Sage

Sage

From the ashes and devastation left from the last Dominance War emerged the Seakaar. From the abyss of the sea this creature awakens to stalk any Cgchatter who dares cross it's path. Seakaars possess an over sized brain which allow them emit strong electric charges and operate their organic exoskeleton battle armor with their mind. Although they are excellent strategist they enjoy getting they hands dirty and ripping apart their victims in battle. They usually assume the role of a battle tank. They will rush and create holes in their enemies front lines as well as provide cover for it's allies. Seakaars can amplify their electric and mental powers with it's armor and can unleash large lighting storms on it's victims if needed.

Before i read your descripton and only seen the concept i thought its a kind of a small assassin alien.

Cool, I like the lower of the head studies the best.. It's got a awesome shark-like feel... It might be nice to run a bit more with the sea theme in the armor like having shapes where a dorsal fin might go or ventilation slits where a fish might have gills... running a few more S and C curves through the design will give it a more streamline sea creature-y appearance as well;) Good stuff:)

This is the final study of the body and head. Thanks to Paul's paint over I decided to make my creature be more like an eel and decided to get rid of the legs and give it a tail. Let me know what you think. Thanks. On to modeling.

Looks cool, but it actually looks very much like another concept here already. Its spacemonkey's creature. Of course I love this concept, but just a thought.

In an effort to make this guy look less like Spacemonkey"s shadow I did an update. Then I ckeck his thread after I'm done and I give up... I hope my texture will make himm look unique enough. Here is a study of his skin and him in tank mode. Basically he attack like a Raptor to get into a melee position then opens his shell and uses his arms to rip his victims apart. Let me know what you think.

His skin is supposed to be translucent in some areas.
