I'm definitely excited about this competition-- first one I have truly entered.
I'll be updating soon with a complete set of concept images, I just wanted to get my idea out there before someone else did something too similar. Hopefully it hasn't happened already. I noticed the forums filled up almost instantly after the release of the brief and began to get nervous

The whole heart thing isn't completely necessary for the actual base idea to work, I just thought it would add a greater level of visual interest to him and would help convey the direct mainline of adrenaline into the heart.
I don't plan on using anything else metal on him save some external armor and the weapons of course. Also nothing is actually a moving part, its all just surgically inserted armor to protect the main source of life from harm.
Maybe I'll submit an actual inquiry to a moderator of the contest if that is possible to see if that even counts as a portion of our 20% or less quota and if so whether it oversteps the bounds or no.
** addition / edit ** - the "adrenaline pack" is worn like a literal backpack and the resperator is fastened to the face with staples or something. No internal robotic limbs or computer chips or anything. The point behind the heart chamber is to minimize costs of armor since soldiers would be immune to pain and preserving his limbs isn't important because he doesn't come home. He could march in with no armor and still be relatively shielded.
If anyone else stumbles upon this thread lemme know what you think about this!
Maybe he has bio-engineered enhanced organs (I imagine some bug shaped things) attached to him also? That would be safely withing the guidelines. Nice start!
I'm leaning towards Tek9s with chaingun feed and a bayonet on each or sawed off shotguns with bayonet style ends or something. Will upload later (I'm in class right now but spending time on much more important things like this contest )
I also got another idea for a mechanism on his arm pictured in this image, and I will post exactly how it would work in a little while
I call my newest invention the "Ratchet Arm"
A spring powered clutch holds the arm, locking it in place.
When necessary the clutch will disengage causing the arm to spring out enough to twist giving the person free rotation of their forearm. This will help my little zombie soldier perform extraordinary blade maneuvers and fast.
