so when's later? welcome to polycount--i assume one of the other Mythic pc guys dragged you over here. get some sketches or some thumbnails up, man, before it's the end of february and you realize you didn't actually get into this compo!
yo dude whats up! never really got the chance to talk you much you started right around the time i left.. i remember the interview though, you and doc rob totally busted me sleeping under my desk in my homemade box fort.. loved the stuff you showed off in your sketchbook.. CCAD alumni!!!
Arshlevon: lol that was hilarious, and really helped take the edge off the interview. -I was a nervous wreck. I'm looking forward to seeing some Arshlevon goodness over on 3dtotal. -I really dug your SF challenge entry.
Alright, I've noodled around a bit, and I think I'm leaning in the insectoid direction. As far as an introduction goes, eh, I suck at introductions, so how about some good old fashioned avoidance ; ) -updates as they come.
Woo hoo. Go Pablo go! I like the first ideas, Im not sure about the head and upper arm transition, I dig the shape though. Cant wait to see where you go with it.
-small update: I'm still feeling things out at this point. I figured trying to swing a sword around those big legs might be a bit difficult, so now I'm leaning more towards a kind of long range sniper or cannon thing, with an integrated weapon on the abdomen -though I'm sort of mixing mammilian and insect anatomy together so far, so the body isn't really segmented. I have no idea how I'll end up transitioning an endoskeleton to an exoskeleton, and there're plenty of other things still completely up in the air. I'm thinking I'd like to take some of the weight off of these, and make them look a little more mobile, so that'll be the next step for exploration.
I'm getting pretty far behind at this point, so hopefully I'll nail down enough to start into some 3d this week.
