very, very promising man. i'll echo my sentiments to other polycounters, which is to thumbnail and consider several different ideas initially, but you're already at a very interesting point already. the elegance and bearing of the character even at this point are self-evident; i'd like to see you develop this character into truly regal and refined, but still very, very evil guy.
you don't need my help, though--you're doing great already. keep it up, and keep us posted!
the curlies actually make it look very greco-roman... if that's a trait u want, then i suggest u keep them to some degree. maybe make the curlies end it sharp points dripping in blood and battery acid?
Indian, I'm definitely going for that look. Instead of getting rid of the curlies, I decided to square them off.
Here's what I have so far. Still have to add a sidearm in there somewhere and do a rear view and a pic of his mug. For weapons he has an entended range compound crossbow with a shotgun attached underneath, the sidearm also doubles as a bladed weapon. I'm focusing on making him a weapons and hand to hand combat expert.
Hey, Julius, that looks great! Very Clean lines and detail. Looks very much like your style. It would be great if you went crazy and colorful with the feathers! I'm just so excited to see what you bring out next. A cape or flowing fabric of some sort might give it a more heroic look too if you want. Or maybe that'd look generic. Keep it up. Look forward.
Hey Mya, thanks! It's interesting that you mentoned the feathers, what I had in mind is that their colours would indicate rank, they will mainly be black with a few orange or red ones. The cape, or loose fabric, is an interesting idea that I may implement.
Did a sketch today of the guy's face, figured I'll have his visor open for the final renders.
Here's a rough idea for his weapon. It's two weapon on top of each other
Going to do a coloured version on my guy tomorrow, should be done soon.
this is still one of my secret little favorite threads... but time's wasting now and it breaks my heart to think the most stylish guy in the whole contest might not get finished in time! where's the model, eh?
