Greetings people, I’m here to reserve a spot in this challenge.

You probably don’t know me. I was recently drafted by “Dr_Graevling” who is a fellow student here at Tension Graphics.


Anyway I’m called hitman and I’m looking forward to support this team.

Here's one of the first concepts, made by a classmate. This is a preliminary concept so nothing is written in stone yet.

Here's a model I've started with. I'm making a humanoid base first. Then I'm gonna put on the armor.


This is my first highpolly char so I'm trying out some new things (new for me).

Can you clarify “bot-ish” for me? Do you mean like he needs more visible flesh or do you mean that he looks too much like a future alien soldier from an FPS? As in, he’s in need of more spectacular forms on his suit?

He needs to be differentiated from a robot so that he's not conflicting with 3D Total's brief. You'll probably be ok as long as the head looks like something thats alive.

Thanks for the input Johny. The “blobyness” is just temporary since that pic was taken very early. As I’m not doing a human he doesn’t need to have human features, this guy has weird muscle groups in his face therefore some unappealing bumps.

I may sound defensive now but I’d appreciate more defined critics if any. Especially from guys that harbor some skills (cool prison-break-head J).

I would like to se a more unified concept. I don't know if Reine(the guy who concepted your armor) did the concept for the head?
Because my feeling is that they don't really go together all that much. In short. I would like to se more sketches on the head. And i agree with Johny. Try to work out the major facial features of his head and then work you way towards detail. Like you would with a lump of clay ^_^
