Quad menu in max9

So i've been trying to use max9 lately and for some reason it never saves my quad settings, I have saved out a file and I have to load it everytime I reload max, has anyone else run into this?

Also has anyone else had the smoothing on an editable poly to just go crazy when you tweak the model sometimes until you do something that changes the smoothing groups then it 'fixes' itself?

did you try going into the adnvanced menu and clicking "save as start up"

im not sure if is the same in 9, but it could help

Have you tried saving it as MaxStartUI.mnu (or whatever extension there, should work for all preferences files)?

That worked Mop , richkid that setting seemed to only save the appearance of the quad menu. Geeze there's a little 'too' many ways to save custom shit
