Fem Bust WIP. All kinds of bad.[Nakedness]

Hey all, workin on a fem head and I'm running into some issues. I like the side profile but I can't stand the front. I'm not using any reference images or anything right now. Just using the basics off the kind of girls I like. Alba/Lima sort of look. I'm using Maya and Mudbox right now. Here is the base mesh in maya and about an hour of work in MudBox messin around still trying to learn the app. Any help would turbo.

i think it's a good start. part of your problem is the eyes are Huuuuuuuge! Though i like the shape of her face. It isn't your standard cut female so I think that's cool. But yeah, Eyes are too big.

I would define your nostrils a bit more in Maya before taking it into mudbox. I would also use some photo ref for placement and size of the eyes, they are a tad far apart.

thanks guys for the comments, I'll go spider monkey on the eyes and play around with adding more detail in maya before bringing it into mudbox. Still not used to how much you should really add in maya before going into mudbox. Seems like most people are saying keep it light as possible but it also seems you can save some time by just doing it in maya. I dunno, need more play time.

tooks in the eyes and lips a bit, baby steppin it. Now the cheeks seem off. Got bored and changed it into a man for fun.

hey, I have a hard time with female faces as well, but one thing that sticks out to me right off the bat is the width of the eyes, others have mentioned, but you still haven't quite got it. Try drawing vertical lines from the edges of the mouth, they should intersect with the pupils, or atleast approximate. Hope that helps, keep posting your progress shots..

started makin a body for the old dome. Just blockin out the shape, I think I made the torso too long and the hips not curve in enough.

you need to raise the naval a bit. and yes, the torso i a bit stretched. hips need to be a bit wider.

yeah i think I hit the leg too hard with the old bulge tool and made her bowlegged. Sorry about the not work safe, fixed. I'll fix the legs as soon as the double vision from the booze goes away....thanks for the help guys

it may just be personal taste, but i think her shoulders are a bit too broad for her body. again thats just a personal choice, it looks nice man, keep goin

yeah the shoulders are a little big because....she was a man baby! I turned her into a shemaley. My generic man turned into a generic woman.
