A closet in London for $335,000 What a deal!

Oh did I mention it smells of mildew and doesn't have heat or electricity?

that doesn't surprise at all to be honest : there's SO much money in London it's just scary, £170000 is pocket money to many people. New Ferrari or studio space in Knightsbridge? Hey, why not both?

then again, property prices have long been silly in the UK in general, and have been getting steadily sillier. Even when you think prices are levelling off and plump for a place, they hike the interest rates TWICE in the 2 months you've been there, pushing your mortgage to a cool grand a month ... ker-rist

At more than $4,340 a square foot, the mortgage buys a spot within walking distance of tony stores like Harrods and London's iconic Hyde Park.

To put this in perspective, retail space at the biggest and most popular shopping mall in New Braunfels, TX is a little under $1.00 per square foot. Amazing.

What the hell is a tony store? Can you buy tonys there?

Edit: Online dictionary helps me out, I guess that's American slang.

Yes, London is ridiculously expensive. When I moved here I started paying three times as much on rent alone.

That is insane, and he's had 3 offers!? Probably some millionaire buying it as a novelty. It would be cool to deck it out with space saving features seen in boat cabins and RVs.

I've only heard tony used as someone's name, must be a regional dialect thing.

hehe real money being a uk pound ?

in all seriousness though, i remember reading that a single parking spot in downtown new york was owned privately by a person. Not sure of the details but i believe the person inherited it. The end value was incredible because it was sold for over a million or so..

ridiculous! If its so close to downtown London someone should buy it and turn it into a personal parking space for their Aston.
