Anyone good at Adobe Premiere and/or after effect

hello people, my question is how do i reduce the size when i am rendering a movie, lots of videos i saw went on half hour while still under 200mb, but what i am pumping out easily go over 500mb with only about one minute of clips, can people help out?
p.s. trying to avoid using quicktime file.

use different codecs and compression rates. Different quality settings. All that. Just checkout all the settings and try things out

well.. you could compress the video after rendering it using AutoGknot.
Its a program used to compress videos. YOu just set the maximum amount of megas you which the video to have and he does the rest.
Its recomended that you have the xvid or divx encoder installed on your machine.

Sorensen Video 3 is pretty standard I think for compression, try using that perhaps . Im no expert by the way just had some tertiary training ages ago which I have mostly forgoten

The XviD codec will give you the best quality-to-size ratio possible. DivX is the next runner up, but it encodes about 20% faster than XviD.

Use XviD!
