Can anyone point me in the right direction to some books and other reading material that can aid me with my 3D modelling and texturing skills for games.
I mainly use 3ds max though I do use Maya from time to time so books based around those software programs will be right up my street.

3D Game Textures: Create Professional Game Art Using Photoshop is pretty good, the tutorials rely on filters too much so if you just breeze through the tutorials without paying attention to what is being done you won't learn anything.
I don't really know of any good 3D modeling books, you can find plenty of good tutorials on the net.

The Gnomon workshops have some great dvd's for sale as well.
And there are many other great tutorials available on the net.
