and yes its a FAKE screen shot like the file name implies the landscape is form the original ps2 title i toughed that would be obvious to everyone sorry for not pointing that out
Ha okay too bad I missed that comp, it was boud to be fun.
You know what the icing on the cake would be Warby? Baking down the textures to something ps2-friendly ie not simply scaling them down but also using a lot of UV sharing, stretchy UVs aso. Im sure it's possible and would make the whole package even more impressive! Like, same colossus but with 128*128s! Hum maybe not *that* extreme but you got the idea.
I also love how your AAed render makes it look like if it's out of a nextgen SOTC re-release. Neat!
awesome but i think your render and the screenshot dont really blend enough, maybe more color correction or something. also that screenshot looks like its an unfinished pre-release shot of that level.
Do you have your stick ready? Because they should be beating down your door soon =P
Honestly you're building up some great portfolio pieces, keep crankin!
Really nice job, you fooled my wife who played the game.
Mrs Vig: "I don't remember that where was that?"
Vig: "How could you have missed this one?"
Mrs Vig: "You must have to beat the game in 6 days or something... hold on that says contest entry [shove] ass..."
because i want to clean out my wip folder i did a fake screen shot for the old one too the sotc creenshot i choose was realyl fogy and milky because of that i dont think it looks as good as the other one ... still its kinda authentic:

Really awesome work, though.
i am gonna make a comic/storyboard how your supposed to defeat him tonight.
let me tell you he is 75% covered in fur and the fur is where ever the gameplay requires it to be
Good portfolio piece.

Someone give this man a JOB!!!!!
also any chance we can see the texture?

Awesome work warby!
You mention a contest in your title, is that something currently going on somewhere?
I like how colossus creation seems somehow at the edge of character and level design. Very inspiring!
