ATI vs nvida dx10 round 1

well we all knew it was going to happen, ati comes to the table with its dx10 card, and from what the reviewers are saying its a substantial leap in preformance from the 8800's. never been too much for ati cards, but i guess i will have to wait till i can try out a new one to really make a call on this one.

Every couple of months one company releases a card that smacks down the other, and then a couple months later it goes back the other way. That a newer card beats an older card shouldn't be a big surprise for anyone. And if you're at the point where you even bother to look at the highest-end cards, nothing else really matters. Do a quick check just to make sure nothing got majorly screwed up and then grab the newest thing off the shelf.
