#32 is BOARING! - multivac

Well,lets see how my first post and challenge in polycount works out! smirk.gif
I´ll try to model somewhat evil,realistic boar with a harness and a gun or a rider fastened there.
Base boar mesh comes first,I`ll paint some better concepts on it once finished. grin.gif

    coming along pretty quick now,hooves kinda suck though, i dont even know if thats how they are supposed to look.

    if you don't know if that's how they're supposed to look, dig up some reference images!
    Google image search for "pig hoof" would be a good start...

    Looks like a good start on the mesh though, I'd probably try to optimise the polygon usage though, you've got a lot of quads at the back there not really defining the shape much.

    so...bolted a head onto it.I modeled it with open mouth just in case,probably ends up cut out.
    To my mind it is looking like an ordinary pig or a bear cub,not a boar,this guy really needs some fur and bristles on it quickly.I sheared off quite a few quads from the back too crazy.gif

    Yeah,i know the boar and the treestump are horribly clashing in style grin.gif
    I used 512 diffuse and 512 opacity,model is 1998 tris.

    I don`t know why max viewport displays the opacity mapped stuff as overlapping,it`s fine when I export it in an engine though.
