About the Company
Chimera Entertainment is a young, aspiring development studio located in Munich, Germany. Founded by media design graduates of MDH Munich, the talented team could quickly secure funding for their debut title Windchaser, a story-driven real time strategy game with role playing elements, set in a unique fantasy world. Chimera Entertainment is looking for similar minded, gifted individuals willing to break into the games industry and work hard in a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
Junior Character Artist
Modeling & Animation
Starting: February 2007
Location: Munich, Germany
Job Type: Full Time
Responsibilities
* Model & rig human characters
* Create & tweak in-game & cutscene animations
* Work with lead artist on character design
* Work on obtaining & implementing motion capture data
Qualifications
* About one year of character modeling and animation experience
* Knowledge of 3D modeling & animation packages, preferably 3DSMax
* Good understanding of games character creation workflow
* Ability to work from concept drawings & photographic references
* Strong motivation & passion for video games
* Very good communication and team playing skills
Junior Technical Artist
Starting: February 2007
Location: Munich, Germany
Job Type: Working Student
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary liaison between code and art
* Support the whole team regarding art tools
* Identify needs for & implement solutions in 3D packages
* Optimize art assets for real time performance
* Improve turnaround times & quality of content creation workflow
Qualifications
* Technical experience with 3ds Max
* Good knowledge of scripting for art applications
* Basic understanding of games character creation workflow
* Strong motivation & passion for video games
* Very good communication and team playing skills
