I need help mudbox and maya normal maps/tangent spaces. Ive got the low res model done from maya imported it into mudbox, and created a high res model but i need to know how to create normal maps from the high res model to the low res, and to apply the normal maps in maya that i can see it rendered in real time.
o lol btw i've loved polycount and have been browsing the forums as a guest for years, i think since 2000 maybe 1999 and I finally found time to register and become part of the community

I'm gonna move this to the 2d/3d discussion forum, it fits better there.
I think you can create normal maps directly in Mudbox, never done it myself though - try reading the Help.
There are tutorials and scripts for rendering normal maps in Maya, try using the Search feature on these forums to dig through the 2d/3d forum for answers, the same question has definitely been asked and answered at least 2-3 times that I can remember.
