i can't quite work out what that's meant to be, or which way it's facing... i think you need to work on the big shapes to make more sense before you go in and sculpt small detail.

Yeah, I just got tired of making the model itself, and decided to fuck with it.....It's supposed to be a post apoc pig with a gas mask. Pigs need fresh air, too.

I've got the model pretty much done, I guess.
I don't know how to do normals/diffuse, and whatever..

I think you should reconsider some of the shapes. That concept looks interesting, and has a lot of character, but it instantly reads as a pig, instead of the required boar.

While a cartoon pig can be simplified into a sphere, I don't think the longer, more angular form of a boar translates very well at all.

Yeah, I've realized that...
I guess right now, I'm just working on the pig because I like it. I get distracted too easily. I might make a boar yet, it all depends...

I was tired of pissing around with my now despised gas mask pig, and this thing grew out of a dodecahedron, and now i'm in love. UV mapping is something i'm new at, so that's going to slow me down a lot...

try giving him 6 sided legs instead of four... start cutting in some detail to his guns, etc. pay attention to his silhouette and see where you can make it read better from a distance, where you can smooth out shapes and so forth.

Well, if you want to get technical, a boar and sow are the names for domesticated pig's genders.

A boar, however, is also a species of wild pig, which encompasses both male and female.

So the comp is pretty open to interpretation.
